- maximum amount of characters which could be downloaded during reading an email. It protects us from downloading big email which body doesn't interest us. In such case email could be downloaded partially. This limit encloses also dimension of downloaded email content when 'Read only subject' is setted to 'no'.

2. Address book.
mMail contains its own address book. Address book permits getting stored email addresses during creating a new email. It's also possible adding new one when such address doesn't exist until now.

- 'Save only' option store created email in folder 'Drafts' and in the future it's possible to edit or send it. In case of choosing options 'Send and save' email will be send and its copy will be situated in folder 'Sent'. Attention! Only properly configured options and specially SMTP server name permits to send emails. Additionally phone should has properly configured access to Internet by GPRS. New GPRS session is created only on beginning of reading or sending emails. During continuance GPRS session we could send or read multiple emails. After closing mMail, GPRS session is automatically closed. (Some phone i.e. Nokia 7650 permits leaving working mMail and use others phone functions).

4. Read
Folder 'Read' contains downloaded emails in folders suitable to declared email accounts. Emails are sorted in descending order accordingly to date of send, could be read offline (without connection to the Internet). Theirs status point three different icons:
- email not read at all

- email opened and fully downloaded from email server

- email opened by user, but only partially downloaded from email server.

Reading new emails from email server permits option 'Refresh'. Invoking it starts communication with email server. To minimize amount of data transmitted through GPRS, mMail connect with email server by special proxy server. If we download only subjects of emails, communication persists quite short. Otherwise, during downloading besides subjects also email body content, data transfer could persist longer. (Attention! Some phones are "impatient" i.e. Motorola T722i in such situation interrupts communication. In such case we have to again choose option 'Refresh').

If email was downloaded only partially, it's possible to read it fully ('Get full text'), or in few steps i.e. every time by getting 500 characters (maximum number of characters is setted in folder 'Options').
